{"id":89991,"date":"2019-01-22T10:43:47","date_gmt":"2019-01-22T08:43:47","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.moh.gov.ps\/portal\/?p=89991"},"modified":"2019-01-22T10:44:06","modified_gmt":"2019-01-22T08:44:06","slug":"palestinian-ministry-of-health-gaza-shortage-of-generators-fuel-threatens-the-lives-of-800-patients","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.moh.gov.ps\/portal\/palestinian-ministry-of-health-gaza-shortage-of-generators-fuel-threatens-the-lives-of-800-patients\/","title":{"rendered":"Palestinian Ministry of Health-Gaza  shortage of generators&#8217;  fuel threatens the lives of 800 patients"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Hundreds of patients with renal failure are\nthreatened to lose their lives while the fuel crisis took place in Ministry of\nHealth Hospitals, since Gaza Strip hospitals rely mainly on&nbsp; generators to obtain electricity. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p dir=\"ltr\">The current crisis&nbsp; started more than 12 years with the start of\nthe Israeli siege imposed on the Gaza Strip.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Abu Mohammed, 50 years old, who we met during\nhis hemodialysis at Al-Shifa hospital, expressed his sadness and pain about the\nreality of renal failure patients who are constantly exposed to various crises,\nwondering how long the patients in Gaza will continue to be violated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p dir=\"ltr\">All equipment for renal dialysis works on\nelectricity, and renal failure patient cannot live without hemodialysis, which\nmeans that they are subjected to many complications leading to toxemia and then\neventually death.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Head of hemodialysis Department at Al-Shifa Hospital Dr. Abdullah al-Qayshawi said We have more than 800 patients in the Gaza Strip\u00a0undergo hemodialysis within a specified time and the power outages impose danger on their lives.
