{"id":96382,"date":"2019-10-14T12:55:35","date_gmt":"2019-10-14T09:55:35","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.moh.gov.ps\/portal\/?p=96382"},"modified":"2019-10-14T12:55:35","modified_gmt":"2019-10-14T09:55:35","slug":"moh-in-partnership-with-the-who-holds-a-scientific-day-on-the-reality-of-infectious-diseases-and-measles-in-the-gaza-strip","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.moh.gov.ps\/portal\/moh-in-partnership-with-the-who-holds-a-scientific-day-on-the-reality-of-infectious-diseases-and-measles-in-the-gaza-strip\/","title":{"rendered":"MOH In partnership with the WHO holds a scientific day on the reality of infectious diseases and measles in the Gaza Strip"},"content":{"rendered":"<p dir=\"ltr\">Ministry of Health, in cooperation with the World Health Organization (WHO), with active participation of UNRWA,\u00a0 United Nations Children&#8217;s Fund (UNICEF), held a scientific day on the current state of infectious diseases and Measles in the Gaza Strip.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Participants agreed on the stability of the reality of infectious diseases in the Gaza Strip, despite the emergence of several cases, which are treated and controlled as soon as they were discovered.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Director-General of Primary Health Care in the Ministry of Health Dr. Medhat Abbas said that the stability of the infection rate in the Gaza Strip is due to the existence of a national system of monitoring and control of these diseases, which contributed to the protection of society from 12 epidemic diseases have been eliminated.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Dr. Abbas also called for supporting the mechanisms for reporting infectious diseases, he also called for ending the siege, which is the lead cause of the water pollution crisis.\u00a0 In addition to the frequent electricity cuts, which led to the disruption of sewer systems, conditions that usually contribute to the spread of epidemics and diseases.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Dr. Abbas noted that Palestine maintained the highest rate of immunization in the world with 98%.
