Deputy Minister of Health Dr. Yousef Abu Al-Rish considered tissue matching laboratory as a qualitative addition to health service. This came during a working meeting with the committee supervising the project of the tissue matching laboratory, which is funded by a decent Qatari Red Crescent (QRCS) to follow up on the arrangements related to operating this laboratory.
\n\u201cMinistry of Health has come a long way in the kidney transplant program, which is one of the services that have always been a must in the Gaza Strip, and today we continue to work at full capacity so that we have a laboratory to check tissue computability according to the highest international specifications and protocols,\u201d said Dr. Abu Al-Rish.
\nHe also praised the ability of the local surgical team to perform these operations completely through the experience gained from the British team headed by Dr. Abdel-Qader Hammad, head of the organ transplantation department at the University of Liverpool Hospital, and the Jordanian staff under the supervision of Dr. Walid Masoud, consultant in vascular surgery and kidney transplantation.
