Moh-Gaza, Cardiac specialist and surgeon Dr. Saher Abu Ghali announced that cardiac surgery service has been restored at EGH during the past year 2019, which was considered one of the most important and high-quality medical services provided by the Ministry of Health in Gaza strip.
\nAfter it has been paused due to the huge challenges on the ministry of health and the blockage on Gaza Strip, consequently it affected patients and their families.
\nDr. Abu Ghali announced that this department offers medical services like replacing the heart valve and implanting coronary arteries. He pointed out that the department performs 3 cases per day up to 80 to 100 cases in a period not exceeding four months, with a success rate of more than 98 percent.
\nThese operations are varied from simple to complex, side by side to the cardiac catheterization department, and intensive care department.
