MOH, PHR held a mental health workshop during the pandemic outbreak in Gaza Strip

In General Director of Mental Health, Dr. Yahya Khader’s speech said Physicians for Human Rights PHR delegation visit from our occupied territories in 1948 to Gaza Strip. This visit shaded lights of the health sector’s needs and its suffering during this outbreak.
Dr. Khader praised the delegation and their continuous support to the Gazan citizens.
Head of PHR delegation, Dr. Salah Al-Hajj Yahya, said that his association and all the Palestinian people in the occupied interior stand by their brothers in the Gaza Strip.
He added that it was difficult for the delegation to obtain permits to enter Gaza.
Hajj Yahya pointed that his organization has paid great importance to mental health for the past 13 years, indicating that the workshop comes as part of preventive and safety measures aimed to raise mental health teams efficiency while working with Covid 19 patients in terms of psychological support.
The PHR delegation visit lasted for one day, as the delegation has organized a medical-surgical team that performed several surgeries for patients in the Gaza Strip.
