MOH – Gaza inaugurates Covid-19 UAE field hospital
The Ministry of Health inaugurated the Emirati field hospital, which is dedicated to providing medical care to patients with Covid 19.
The hospital has been established with generous support from the United Arab Emirates.
The opening ceremony took place in the presence of the Deputy Minister of Health Dr. Youssef Abu Al-Rish, the Deputy of the Ministry of Social Development Dr. Ghazi Hamad, and the former Minister of Health Dr. Jawad Al-Tibi.
In his speech, Dr. Abu Al-Rish considered the new hospital as a culmination of the extended efforts and continuous support from the UAE. “We are going through the fourth wave, as this hospital shall allow the continuation of the medical care in the other MOH’s facilities, at a time when the siege continues on the Gaza Strip, and the occupation prevents the entry of several vital diagnostic medical devices and spare parts”, Dr.Abu Al-Rish said.
Dr. Al-Tibi praised the unlimited UAE support, which included different segments in the Gaza Strip, contributed to alleviating the suffering imposed by the siege, hoping that the hospital would be supportive to the medical staff confronting the covid -19 pandemic.
