During the inauguration of Sheikh Hamad Bin Khalifa Al-Thani Hospital for Rehabilitation and Prostheses Hospital in Gaza, deputy Minister of Health Dr. Yousef Abu Al-Rish stressed on the role of the State of Qatar in supporting the health sector during the imposed siege in the Gaza Strip through various contributions made by multiple institutions. Abu Al-Rish praised on the qualitative additions to the health sector, through providing a higher quality of services, including the successful Cochlear implantation operations for 150 cases, in addition to training medical staff to perform these surgeries themselves. Pointing out to the outstanding contributions the hospital has made in the provision of medicines, medical consumables, and various medical equipment, in addition to the distinguished qualified medical staff who have been trained in various institutions in the State of Qatar
