Director of Al-Harazeen maternity Hospital Dr.Naim Ayoub said that there is about (200) cases of natural birth per month, in addition to performing (35) cesarean sections surgery, and (40) gynecological operation including dilatation and curettage, and ovarian cystectomy.
He pointed out that the reception and emergency department receives (50) cases including daily cases of normal delivery. In the same context, operation rooms are equipped with the latest medical devices and supported with well trained and qualified medical personnel.
Dr. Ayoub explained that the clinical capacity of the hospital reaches 15 bed; the prenatal department includes 5 beds, the postpartum department, on the other hand, includes 7 beds, in addition to the 3-beds in the delivery booth, and One operating room.
Dr.Naim Ayoub noted that the developments of the hospital will increase the bed capacity to (10) beds.
It worth mentioning that Al-Harazeen Hospital was opened in July 2012 in Al Shujaiya, east of Gaza City. It is affiliated to Al Shifa hospital to cover the eastern part of the Gaza Strip, including Al-Tuffah, Al-Shuja’ia, Al-Zaitoun, and Al-Darj. It provides health services to more than 300,000 people in the remote eastern regions.
