Deputy Ministry of Health Dr. Youssef Abu Al-Rish received Head of MSF Belgium Mission Mr. Benoit Vasseur, along with the Mission’s staff in Gaza, Mr. Matthias Kines, Medical Team Leader, Mr. Abu Bakr Stumm, Assistant Head of Mission, and Ms. Marwa Qassem, Deputy Head of Mission.

The meeting was attended by the Director-General of International Cooperation at the Ministry of Health, Dr. Abdul Latif Al-Hajj, and Ms. Tarneem Al-Wahidi for the Department of Foreign Relations.

Dr. Abu Al-Rish praised MSF Belgium’s efforts concerning the health sector in the Gaza Strip and health training, especially complex fracture repair surgeries, which was perceived through the remarkable development of patients’ health.

Dr. Abu Al-Rish demonstrated developments of the epidemiological situation in the Gaza Strip and the indicators of the third wave and MOH efforts’ to face the health repercussions and provide care to patients.

Dr. Abu Al-Rish wished Mr. Matthias Kines success at the beginning of his mission in Gaza, expressing his appreciation to Mr. Benoit Vasseur, the current head of the mission who will finish his work at the end of this year.
