Eng. Al-Hammadin: USD 4.2 million worth losses in the governmental and private health sectors during the Israeli attack on Gaza

The Director-General of Engineering and Maintenance at the Ministry of Health, Eng. Bassam Al-Hammadin said that the total losses of the governmental and private health sectors during the Israeli attack on the Gaza Strip amounted to 4.2 million USD.
The losses centered in the primary health care centers, hospitals, private health institutions, pharmacies, laboratories, and private clinics.

Al-Hammadin pointed out that the total losses incurred by government health institutions amounted to 2 USD million, while the losses of the private and civil health sectors were estimated at 2.2 USD million.

Al-Hammadin demanded the relief institutions and the supporting bodies, to urgently respond to the rehabilitation and reconstruction of the destructed facilities, to be able to restart providing health services.

During the recent attack on the Gaza Strip, the Israeli war plans targeted 24 governmental and private health facilities that were directly or indirectly damaged, which caused most of them to go out of service.
