General-Director of Human Recourses: Our priority is to train ICU cadres

General-Director of Human Recourses, Dr. Rami Al-Abadla stated that the Ministry of health’s priority is to train ICU cadres, especially during the coronavirus pandemic. In partner with WHO, the Ministry of Health implemented a training program to qualify local trainers through remote training technology.

The program aimed to train the largest number of the newly employed ICU doctors, headed by four local trainers, each of whom was Dr. Iyad Abu Karsh, Dr. Jihad Al-Jaidi, Dr. Hani Samour, Dr. Elma Wing.

The program was supervised by Professor Charles from Hong Kong- WHO, where the trainees were trained to evaluate ICU patients and provide treatment protocols for COVID- 19 cases.
