Ministry of Health- Gaza performed about 69,000 surgeries in 2018
According to the annual report issued by the Palestinian Health Information Center(PHIC), the number of surgical operations conducted by its hospitals in the Gaza Strip amounted to (69) thousand operations, of which about (21) thousand operations are one-day surgeries.
The report added that the clinical capacity in the Ministry of Health hospitals is 2,240 beds distributed among 13 hospitals, pointing out that the rate of occupancy of the beds reached 95% with a rate of (3.3) days admission in government hospitals where the patients receive their health services.
