MOH-Gaza warned of the imminent dangers of patients in the Gaza Strip due to the ongoing hospitals’ fuel shortage crisis, pointing out that so far there is no response to the appeals launched by MOH-Gaza to provide fuel to operate generators.

The spokesman of  Ministry of Health in Gaza Dr. Ashraf al-Qadra said during a press statement that the crisis has hit all governmental hospitals, despite all the appeals made by MOH in Gaza to all humanitarian and international institutions, so far, MOH in Gaza has not received any response to save the patients’ lives.

the last grant of fuel received by the ministry ended in November 2018 ,  appealing for immediate action to resolve the crisis.

There is a state of anxiety and tension among patients and their families with the increased risk of power outage, especially in sensitive sections such as intensive care units and hemodialysis.

Ministry of Health is saving no efforts to distribute the remaining amounts of fuel which is donated by the local community between the hospitals, hoping that their appeals will get a response to save the patients of Gaza.
