Ministry of Health In Gaza and the Red Cross signed agreements to improve hospitals energy supply. The Palestinian MOH in Gaza represented by Dr. Ashraf Abu Mahadi signed three agreements with the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) represented by the head of the Gaza sub-delegation, Mr. Gilan Devorn in June 2018. Under the terms of the first agreement, Red Cross shall supply spare parts and oil for hospitals’ generators in MOH. The second agreement stated that comprehensive maintenance for the MOH generators will be undertaken by the ICRC to meet the increasing demands of energy in MOH facilities. While the third agreement was to create a dual energy sources between the grid and generators in Al-Shifa Hospital.
