Palestinian ministry of health in the Gaza Strip on Saturday received members of an Egyptian medical delegation after they entered through the Beit Hanoun (Erez) crossing, the delegation headed by Prof. Dr. Mahmoud Fathy, the consultant ophthalmologist. The delegation shall visit Gaza Strip for one week to examine a number of medical conditions and perform a number of surgical operations starting as of Sunday.
The Ministry of Health representative stressed that the delegation’s visit comes within the framework of enhancing cooperation with the brothers in Egypt and the ongoing efforts to provide health care for Gaza patients. Ministry of health valued the efforts being made by Egypt to alleviate the suffering of the Palestinians in Gaza.
The delegation consists of eleven people, including 6 doctors specializing in orthopedic, ophthalmology and anesthesia, in addition to 4 operation nurses and one office manager for the delegation.
The delegation welcomed by Dr. Iyad Abu Zaher Director General of Diwan Al-Wazir, Dr. Ashraf Abu Mahadi, Director General of International Cooperation, Dr. Ashraf Al-Qadra Director of Public Relations and Media Unit, and Dr.Adnan Al – Barash Consultant Orthopedic Surgery.
