MoH- Gaza a new addition of quality equipment to the health facilities in Gaza during the first quarter of 2021

Within the Ministry of Health’s policy aimed at the constant development of its facilities, which is reflected in the quality of health services provided to Gaza citizens, MOH-Gaza has decided to add quality medical devices to its facilities and hospitals during the first quarter of 2021.

According to the report issued by the Palestinian Health Information Center (PHIC) at the Ministry of Health, the devices included ventilators, ICU beds, CT scanning devices, and laryngoscopes.

As for the ICU departments at Al-Shifa Medical Complex, there has been an addition of 5 Cardiac Monitors and 8 ventilators to the European Gaza Hospital.

The European Hospital was also provided with 9 oxygen masks (CPAP), which are oxygen masks for patients suffering from breathing problems, as the need for such devices increased in light of the Covid 19 pandemic.

According to the report, 5 beds were added to the ICU department at the European Hospital, with the support of the Palestinian territories Relief Society, in addition to funding surgical beds to the Shifa Medical Complex in the one-day surgery operations building with 8 beds.

CT scan was provided to AL-Shifa Medical Complex during the first quarter of 2021, where EGH has been supported with (4) dialysis machines and another for the Turkish hospital.
