MoH- Gaza: A workshop to review the strategic health plan and WHO programs
The Ministry of Health and the WHO Gaza sup-office held a workshop to review the strategic health plan and WHO programs.
The workshop was attended by the ministry of health officials in addition to WHO delegation represented by Ms. Sasha Botsuma, WHO Gaza sup office director.
Assistant Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health, Eng Osama Qassem emphasized the importance of this workshop, as it is represented as a framework of coordination and joint work with the WHO.
The gathering aimed to review the goals, objectives, and health programs to discuss the organization’s directions and programs for the next two years.
This revision took place to meet WHO activities, which can be developed and be available for implementation and the necessary support.
Eng. Qassem indicated that today’s meeting includes the competent authorities in the Ministry of Health and the World Health Organization to come up with common approaches.
The Director-General of International Cooperation, Dr. Abdel-Latif Al-Hajj stressed the importance of the meeting and the expected outcomes in developing a regulatory framework for the priorities of the strategic health plan and discussing its intersections with the WHO programs.
The attendees were divided into four specialized groups engaged in researching and studying the health strategic plan goals for 2021 / 2025, where the activities of the workshop will continue over two days.
