MOH- Gaza and Turkish Red Crescent discussing ways of cooperation
Director-General of International Cooperation at the Ministry of Health, Dr. Abd al-Latif al-Hajj, met with a delegation from the Turkish Red Crescent. The delegation was represented by the Red Crescent office director in Gaza, Yit Olchai, and the financial manager, Ahmed Arn. The meeting also included the Director of Arab Relations department at the Ministry of Health, Engineer Anwar Atallah.
Dr. Al-Hajj demonstrated the Gaza Strip’s health situation and the harmful effects of the “Corona” pandemic. In addition to its impact on the health services provided through hospitals and primary health care centers, stressing on the need for continued cooperation and increasing support for the health sector.
Mr. Olchai pointed out the depth of the relationship between the Palestinian and Turkish people, pointing to the urgent response to several appeals and initial approval to support the Ministry of Health. This support translated to several projects, such as supplying medicines and medical consumables to counter the Corona pandemic.
