Ministry of Health concluded the Project for Provision of Medical Supplies as Emergency Response to the Gaza Strip from the Japanese people, with the attendance of Dr. Munir Al-Bursh, Director- General of Pharmacy at the Ministry of Health, Director-General of International Cooperation Dr. Abdul Latif Al-Hajj, and Dr. Ashraf Al-Qedra spokesman for the Palestinian Ministry of Health in the Gaza Strip In addition to Mr. Masahiro Matsway, Head of the Economic Development Section of the Japanese Representative in Palestine.
Al-Bursh thanked the Japanese government and people represented by its ambassador, “Takeshi Okubo”, for providing assistance to the Palestinian people such as; providing medicine and medical supplies to hospitals and primary care centers, which served 65 thousand patients in light of the acute medical deficit which reached a rate of 50%”.
Dr. Al-Qudra added that since the Israeli occupation imposed its siege on Gaza, there has been an incursion into all humanitarian services in Gaza Strip, especially health, noting that this has created a situation of continued destitution of medicines and medical supplies.
For Mr. Matsui’s part, he praised the celebration ceremony given by the Ministry of Health to celebrate the humanitarian cooperation with the Government of Japan, noting that the health sector is the first priority of the Japanese government, in light of the large number of wounded at the Great March of Return Marchs.
