MoH – Gaza implements a new project to reduce surgical waiting lists

The Director of the Financial and Administrative Department of the General Administration of Hospitals at the Ministry of Health- Gaza, Mr. Saed Abu Atta, announced the beginning of a new project in partnership with Al-Sahaba Medical Complex this week to reduce surgical waiting lists.

Abu Atta said that this project targets scheduled minor and moderate surgical operations in pediatric, otolaryngology, gynecological surgery, urology, and general surgery, due to halting the scheduled operation due to the Covid-19 pandemic third wave invasion in Gaza.

Meanwhile, the UNRWA project has been launched to conduct emergency surgeries for oncology patients, renal dialysis, ophthalmology, general surgery, and endoscopy in hospitals contracted with UNRWA.
