MOH-Gaza inaugurates an oxygen generator station in European Gaza Hospital
Ministry of Health inaugurated medical oxygen generator station in EGH within the project of emergency response to the health needs resulting due to COVID-19 pandemic spread in the Gaza Strip.
The station was donated by the Norwegian Aid Committee(NORWAC).
Deputy Minister of Health, Dr. Yousef Abu Al-Reesh stressed the importance of this new station, as it arrives in the middle of the second wave, thus increasing the need for medical oxygen in the intensive care units for severely ill cases.
Dr. Abu Al-Rish appreciated NORWAC for this estimated support and the urgent response to health needs.
Meanwhile, NORWAC representative, Eman Hejazi stated that the station would greatly assist in compacting the pandemic in the largest hospitals of Strip.
As mentioned by the Director-General of Engineering and Maintenance department in MOH-Gaza Eng. Bassam Al-Hamdeen said that the production capacity of the new generator is 470 liters per minute, which means an increase in the oxygen demand.
