MOH-Gaza inaugurates the project of installing new refrigerators, funded by the Japanese government
Today, the Ministry of Health celebrated the inauguration of the project of rehabilitation of the existing refrigerators and installing new refrigerators for drug storage in the Palestinian Ministry of Health. The project was funded by the Japanese government and implemented by the Palestine Giving Association.
The celebration took place in the General administration of pharmacy, in the presence of the honorary president of the Palestine Giving Association, Dr. Nabil Shaath, and the Coordinator of Palestinian Affairs at the Embassy of Japan in Palestine, Mr. Masioki Magoshi.
Dr. Shaath said that this project aims to preserve medicines in proper circumstances, and appreciated the Japanese government for the unlimited support for the vital in Palestine.
Mr. Magushi praised the project, which was implemented to fulfill an important need for the Ministry of Health and to help keep drugs in appropriate hygienic refrigeration conditions.
Meanwhile, Dr. Abdel Latif Al-Hajj, Director General of International Cooperation, spoke about the challenges facing the health system in Gaza, foremost of which is the shortage of essential drugs and the impact of the shortage on patients.
