MOH- Gaza informs human rights organizations about vaccination programs to receive the “Covid 19″ vaccine

Ministry of Health held a meeting with a number of the human rights organizations about Covid 19 vaccination programs, the target groups, applying the “My Health Application” app approved by the Ministry of Health.

Deputy Director-General of Primary Care, Dr. Magdy Dahir, ” said Since the beginning of the pandemic, the Ministry of Health has developed a clear plan to deal with the situation in Gaza, through which it planning a vaccine program”.

Dr. Dahir added that the ministry has determined the categories that will receive the vaccine according to priority, through WHO recommendations.
The total available doses are “81” thousand doses, indicating that the number of those who received the vaccine is about “11” thousand people.

Citizens who registered on the Sehaty application are approximate “30” thousand people, where the actual need is “61” thousand people to cover the first categories, stressing that the elderly category, which is approximately 150,000 people.

Meanwhile, Assistant Undersecretary Eng. Osama Qassem said that the Ministry is keen on employ the technology in the course and monitoring of the epidemiological situation in the Gaza Strip.

He pointed out that a health application was created to ensure the transparency, integrity, and safety of the recorded data, and others would facilitate sending a notice to citizens of the date of the second dose.
The human rights centers praised the role played by the Ministry of Health in monitoring the progress of the epidemic situation to ensure the safety of citizens and limit the spread of the virus.
