The Ministry of Health and the International Mercy Society “Kuwait” inaugurated two desalination plants at Abu Yousef Al Najjar Hospital and the Emirati Hospital in Rafah Governorate, southern Gaza Strip, at a cost of $ 50,000.
Director of the Public Relations and Media Unit Dr. Ashraf El-Qudera explained in his speech, the importance of this project in response to an urgent need to raise the level of service quality in these two health facilities, especially in the presence of a dialysis department at Al Najjar Hospital.
El-Quadra representing the Ministry of Health thanked the International Mercy Society “Kuwait”, which was contributing to alleviating the suffering of the Palestinian people as a result of the continued siege.
In his turn, Deputy Director of the International Mercy Society Eng. Hussam Abu Samra spoke about the importance of this project, and other projects implemented by the organization in cooperation with the Ministry of Health, hoping that such projects would contribute to enabling the provision of an appropriate health service.
