MOH-Gaza launches an awareness-raising campaign to promote the cornea transplant program in the Gaza Strip hospitals.
The Central Medical Unit for Organ Transplantation at the Ministry of Health launched a series of visits to Gaza hospitals, as part of its efforts to launch the cornea transplantation program through self-donation.
The director of the central medical unit for the transfer and transplantation of human organs, Dr. Yahya Khader, stated that the procedures for donating corneas from the deceased were established after the legitimate determinants and conditions in this regard were settled.
Dr. Khader continued that these meetings will be followed by hosting all concerned parties in hospitals through courses and workshops to clarify the details regarding corneal donation.
