MOH – Gaza: Primary Health care clinics provides services to 1.8 million citizens during 2021
According to the report issued by the Health Information Systems Unit in the Ministry of Health (PHIC), the General Administration of Primary Health Care provided its services to about one million and eight hundred thousand citizens in the Gaza Strip during 2021.
The report shows that the average number of visits to specialized clinics amounted to more than 559,000, and treatment services were provided to about 342,000 people.
In the field of nutritional health, the report indicated that the data of children and pregnant women for the nutritional monitoring program were collected through 15 primary health care clinics in the governorates of the Gaza Strip during the year, where special teams conducted visits to primary care centers to follow up on the application of nutritional follow-up models for patients with Malnutrition, and nutritional counseling for children, pregnant women, the elderly, and chronically ill patients.
The same report indicated that the year 2021 adopted a number of protocols for early detection of high blood pressure diseases and diabetes, in addition to the continuous training, education, and development of the technical and professional capabilities of medical staff, including doctors and nurses.
