MOH – Gaza receives advanced PCR testing devices from the Qatari Gaza Reconstruction Committee to counter the Corona pandemic

The Central Laboratory of the Ministry of Health, Gaza, received a PCR testing device, as a grant from the Qatari Gaza Reconstruction Committee to combat the Corona pandemic.
Director-General of the Technical Support Units at the Ministry of Health, Dr. Ayman Al-Halabi, said that the devices accelerate extracting COVID-19 DNA. This is the first stage of the PCR examination, which used to take 3-5 hours using the old device, as the donated device takes only 45 minutes.
Dr. Al-Halabi expressed his gratitude to the Qatari Gaza Reconstruction Committee for their support to the various sectors in Gaza Strip, especially the health sector, which has severe consequences for the continued Israeli blockade for the fourteenth year.
