MOH – Gaza receives Eight(8) hemodialysis units from the Kingdom of Jordan

The Ministry of Health in Gaza received eight hemodialysis machines as a generous donation from the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, Eng. Abd al-Salam al-Halabi, and Dr. Zidada Badran, through the Faculty of Medicine at the Islamic University.

The Assistant Deputy of the Ministry of Health, Dr. Abdul Latif Al-Hajj, appreciated the donors’ keens to help patients with kidney failure, and said: “We receive hemodialysis devices at Al-Shifa Medical Complex, Abu Yousef Al-Najjar Hospital in Rafah, Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital in the Central Governorate, and Noura Al-Kaabi Center in the North Governorate.”

Dr. Al-Hajj pointed out that the patients who are suffering from the shortage of hemodialysis machines, where patients have to stay up all night to finish the dialysis process.

According to the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine at the Islamic University, Dr. Fadl Naim, by this project, a series of joint activities were carried out by the Faculty of Medicine at the Islamic University with the Ministry of Health by graduating qualified doctors, and training health cadres to implement various medical programs in cooperation with the General Administration for Manpower Development.
