MOH -Gaza support three major hospitals with three oxygen stations

Director-General of Engineering and Maintenance, Eng. Bassam Al-Hamadeen stated that the Ministry of Health supported the governmental hospitals with three oxygen stations for Covid patients.

Eng. Al-Hamadeen stressed that the ministry since last September is keen to provide hospitals with Medical oxygen, which is crucial for critically ill COVID-19 patients.

One of the oxygen stations was funded by NORWAC-Norway, and the other two stations were funded by the Medical Aid for Palestinians (MAP-UK) with a capacity of (470) liters per minute for each station, with a cost of (425) thousand USD.

Eng. Al-Hammadin stated that one of the stations has been allocated to the European Gaza Hospital, and another one in Al-Shifa Medical Complex to support the intensive care unit, in addition to (50) beds for moderate COVID-19 cases.

The third oxygen generator was assigned to the Nasser Medical Complex, in addition to (12) intensive care beds, and (25) beds for moderate COVID-19 cases.
