MOH – Gaza: The Covid-19 Crisis Follow-up Committee following the pandemic’s measures taken in Gaza.
During its weekly meeting, headed by the Deputy Ministry of Health, Dr. Youssef Abu Al-Rish issued several measures designated to confront the repercussions of the fourth wave of the pandemic.
During the meeting, the attendees were briefed on fieldwork reports, developments in the epidemiological situation according to indicators, and the efforts made regarding achieving community immunity through vaccination.
The attendees also discussed ways to increase the clinical capacity for cases that require special care in ICU departments and lay protocols for dealing with the expected increase in hospital admissions.
The committee decided to prevent visits in Gaza hospitals, in addition to halting scheduled surgeries in hospitals and maintaining emergency and life-saving operations.
