MOH: Hospitals in Gaza continue to operate during the Covid- 19 outbreak
Dr. Ahmed Shatat, Director of the Doctors Department at the General Hospital Administration at the Ministry of Health in Gaza, said that all government hospitals operating in the Gaza Strip provide their services typically, and none of them have stopped during the Covid 19 pandemic.

During an interview with Dr.Shatat, he stated that there is pre-planned series of measures and practical measures that have been taken to maintain essential services within hospitals, including preventing the presence of escorts unless necessary, allocating entries and exits, in addition to conducting a PCR examination for patients admitted to hospitals whose stay exceeds 48 hours.

The procedures also included establishing and activating respiratory screening triage centers and conducting periodic checks for medical staff to prevent the transmission of infection between its members and patients, and conducting PCR tests prior to conducting surgeries.
