In the European Gaza hospital, in a five hours surgery, an American neurosurgical team managed to remove a massive tumor from a girl’s brain after five years of suffering.
Dr. Ian Mutchnick, head of the American neuro delegation, said that the operation was one of 11 operations performed on this visit.
Dr. Nidal Abu Hadrouz, Consultant Neurosurgeon at the European Hospital, said that the results of the surgery were promising and stressed on the training benefit of the local health staff of this advanced performance. This is the third visit of Dr. Mechnik where he conducted several surgeries to modify the skulls of children from Gaza.
