The local surgical team, cooperating with the PCRF delegation, relieves the suffering of pediatric orthopedic patients.

The local medical team, in cooperation with the German pediatric orthopedic delegation from PCRF, concluded its mission by conducting several complex and qualitative operations in EGH.

For two consecutive days, the delegation provided medical consultations, where they examined about (105) children with congenital orthopedic deformities, and performed about 25 surgeries.

Dr. Jamal Abu Hilal, consultant and head of the orthopedic department in EGH, said that our local staff is working to develop their skills while cooperating with the delegation. Abu Hilal added that the majority of cases needed high skilled techniques to perform complex and qualitative surgeries, adding: “For ten years, the delegation has visited Gaza hospitals twice a year.

Meanwhile, Dr. Marc Sinclair, Consultant Pediatric Orthopedic Surgeon and Head of the Medical Delegation: said “ our visit here is very important to the people of Gaza to show our solidarity with Gaza”.

Dr. Youssef Al-Akkad, Director of the European GazaHospital, thanked the delegation for providing safe and vital services to our Palestinian people, pointing out that the cooperation between the delegation’s staff and the local staff reflected positively on the services provided to patients.
