The Qatari medical delegation supervising the cochlear implantation program in the Gaza Strip concluded the eighth phase of the program, which included a cochlear device surgically implanted to 14 cases by the local medical staff headed by Dr. Mohammed Murad.
Head of the Qatari medical delegation Dr. Khaled Abdel Hadi demonstrated that this program lasted for four years during which 180 were conducted. wherein Gaza local team is conducting such quality surgical operations efficiently and competently despite the siege and the denial of accessing training programs and courses outside the Gaza Strip.
Commenting on the eighth mission by the Qatari medical delegation to Gaza, Dr. Abdul-Salam Al-Qahtani, Head of ENT and Cochlear Implants at Hamad Medical Corporation (HMC), and board member of Qatar Red Crescent Society (QRCS), stated, “It has shown impressive results achieved by conducting surgeries by local staff in a short time, with excellent surgical experience and integration of all”.
