Ministry of Health in Gaza released a statement on primary health care services, clarifying that they are at stake since there is almost complete deficit in its essential drug lists. Which deprive patients with chronic diseases such as diabetes (type I and II), hypertensive patients, cardiac patients, asthma patients, ophthalmic patients, and dermatology patients, from their medications for months in a row, as well as the therapeutic infant formula.

The statement noted that the unprecedented deficit in the lists of primary health care medicines is (100 out of 143) with a percentage of 70%. while there are 16 categories threatened with depletion over the next three months, and that will increases the suffering of patients who can no longer get their medications from primary health care centers, on one hand; and the inability to buy them from the privet pharmacies on the other hand. Which means that patients are exposed to serious complications that threaten their lives.
